How do I take out One Call+ cover?

One call is all it takes! Just call our local rate number 0800 633 5011 and one of our operators will ask you a few simple questions and arrange for the initial inspection to be made.

Or, if you prefer to apply online, go to Contact Us, fill in the form and send it to us. We will then telephone you to finalise the details.

Your One Call+ policy, with full details of the plan, will be sent to you in the post.

*

How much do I have to pay?

One Call+ is subject to an initial services inspection, for which a fee of £90 (incl VAT) is payable, unless the property has undergone a gas-elec inspection within the last three months, in which case no initial inspection is required.

After that, you pay a premium by Direct Debit of just £16 per month.

*

What do I get for that?

Cover against breakdown of your heating system, the hot water system, the water mains supply, gas and electricity supply, gas and electrical installation and the plumbing including burst pipes and blockage or flooding of drains and sewers You are also covered against pest and insect infestation. In addition, should any of your properties be broken into or vandalised, we secure, make safe and repair where necessary.

A big ‘plus’ is that the maintenance plan includes an annual service of your central heating boiler by a qualified gas-elec engineer; the value of this alone is £80 plus VAT.

*

Why do I have to have an initial services inspection?

To determine the condition of the installations; in particular to confirm the approximate age of the gas boiler and to verify its current condition and service history.

The initial services inspection will provide you with:

Produced by gas-elec, the national safety company, and designed to help you save a considerable amount of money on your fuel bills and improve the energy performance of your property.

*

Why is the plan slightly cheaper for homeowners?

Because the risk of an emergency situation developing in owner-occupied homes is slightly lower than that in rented accommodation.

*

Who will organise my initial services inspection?

Someone from your local gas-elec office will call you on your contact number to arrange a mutually convenient appointment.

*

Will gas-elec handle any emergency call-out?

gas-elec will carry out the initial services inspection and your annual boiler service. Any emergency call-outs will be handled by our service partners and you can contact them by calling the emergency call-out number shown in your maintenance plan documentation.

*

My boiler is quite old. Will it be covered?

As long as it is no more than 15 years old, yes your boiler will be covered. Most providers only cover boilers up to 10 years old.

*

Is One Call+ available throughout the UK?

Yes, except Northern Ireland

*

How would I make a claim?
